Hi, I’m Adriane, and I created A-Plus Adventures to share my trips help travelers plan out-of-this-world, inspirational vacations.
I’ve traveled to nearly 50 countries across six continents, spending months at a time living out of a backpack, diving remote reefs, hiking hut-to-hut (or tent to tent), riding motorbikes across Vietnam, sailing the Caribbean, and camping in some of the most remote national parks in the world. Along the way, I realized that the best and most memorable trips are often the hardest to plan, mainly because information is limited, and it can be hard to understand how to do it on a budget. Plus, I took a year sabbatical in 2025 to see the world, and a lot of my friends kept asking me to write about it, so here we are :)

A-Plus Adventures is an independent travel blog. Some pages may include affiliate links or advertising, which help support the site at no extra cost to you. I only recommend products, services, and experiences I genuinely use or believe add value to travelers.
Why You Can Trust My Guides
Just ask my friends — no one can plan a more efficient, low-cost trip than I can. And have more fun.
I spent 10+ years working as an engineer, operations consultant, and sustainability advisor. Process efficiency is part of what I do. Plus, I try to limit my impact on the environment when possible.
I have always applied the same structured thinking from work to travel planning, mainly because it’s fun and I can, but also to get the most out of my experience
You can trust me because I’ve already explored the other 10 options on how to do something, and I write about the optimal way for you to have the best time!
My Travel Style
I’m drawn to trips that combine:
Nature + culture
Really tall and challenging mountains
Ambitious off-the-beaten path places
That means you’ll see content on:
Backpacking and hut-to-hut trekking
Scuba diving in remote locations
Long-distance cycling routes
Ski trips and mountain travel
Budget-conscious travel without sacrificing experience
Whether you’re planning your first big international adventure or refining a complex multi-country itinerary, my goal is to help you do it confidently and responsibly.
